About the Role

To lead, support and manage the day-to-day running of the Cardiovascular Clinical Trials Unit (CVCTU) trials, including the successful planning, delivery and management of clinical trials.

Working throughout the full lifecycle of the CVCTU clinical trials, to lead the study team comprising of core CVCTU staff and Investigator research teams through the feasibility and site selection process, trial set-up, study execution and trial closure.

About You

We require the successful candidate to have a Degree in a biomedical science or associated subject, or proven experience in clinical research and current good Clinical practice qualification. We are looking for Project management experience in clinical trials and previous experience of all aspects of clinical research, including clinical research coordination, administration, monitoring and data management.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project

CVCTU focuses on providing support to deliver clinical trials and research related to cardiovascular and metabolic health. This centre is the product of the coming together of two organisations: Barts Heart Centre and the WHRI. The CVCTU is the fifth branch of the UKCRC accredited Barts CTU (ID:4).

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 3 years, with an expected start date of Aug 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 6, in the range of £47,325 - £52,833 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
