About the Role

A Project Manager is sought to join a dynamic global child health research group researching HIV and infectious diseases; malnutrition; and child growth and development. The group works in the UK and Zimbabwe, with our partner institute, Zvitambo ( Because of the complexity of running multiple international projects, we are seeking a motivated, independent coordinator. The role combines project management with comprehensive secretarial and administrative support for the group head. This wide-ranging role will allow the post-holder to develop a broad range of skills and experiences as a platform for career development.

About You

You must have a strong team-working ethos, excellent organisational skills and an ability to work across cultures. Applicants will have an undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant experience, and a strong track record of project management, ideally within a research environment. Experience of clinical trials is an advantage.

About the Institute

The Blizard Institute was established in 2003 and is the largest of seven Institutes within Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. The Institute comprises approximately 400 staff based in five academic centres and one Public Engagement Centre, and supports a combined total of c750 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute delivers excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is a full time, fixed term appointment for 5 years, with an expected start date of August 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £34,220 - £40,194 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
