Senior Finance Partner (H&SS), Financial Management

Applications are invited for the position of Senior Finance Partner – Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty (H&SS). The post is a senior member of the Financial Management team within the Finance Division at Queen Mary University of London.

The 8 academic schools that make up H&SS deliver excellent research, teaching and learning opportunities across the humanities and social sciences. Altogether there are over 7,300 students and 660 staff across the Faculty, with many inter-departmental links. Annual income is in excess of £100m per annum.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop a full understanding of the Faculty and the financial and non-financial drivers behind its activities. The post holder will work as an integral part of both the Faculty management team and the Financial Management team. You will provide and enthusiastic and effective service to the Faculty Vice-Principal and their senior team, as well as to colleagues across the Faculty, advising, guiding and influencing Faculty strategic and operational decision making. The post holder will work with colleagues across QMUL to ensure the Faculty has a credible five year financial strategy alongside robust operational plans.

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate the skills that they can bring to make this happen, and will need to be able to provide evidence of significant experience of adding value in working relationships with senior non-finance teams.

Starting salary will be in the range £60,000 to £65,000 per annum inclusive of London Allowance dependent on experience. Benefits include 30 days annual leave and a defined benefit pension scheme.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
