About the Role
We seek a Post-doctoral scientist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality research in a drug development project to perform the pre-clinical development of novel drug candidates.
Applicants must have a PhD in a Biological Sciences discipline or related, with experience in animal models of human disease (animal personal license required). This in vivo work could be complemented with experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques, such as flow cytometry, primary cell culture, ELISA and gene expression analysis.

The position will be based at the Centre for Biochemical Pharmacology, at the William Harvey Research Institute. The successful candidate will join the laboratory of Dr Montero-Melendez and Prof Perretti, focused on the development of novel therapies for the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases. The present project will conduct the pre-clinical study of novel drug candidates.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campus in central London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 2 years, with an expected start date of as soon as possible. The starting salary will be Grade 4, £34,733 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
