About the Role
These roles are responsible for providing seamless support to the Faculty and especially their assigned Schools in order to enhance e-learning. They will work closely with colleagues in other Schools, the E-Learning Unit and the Queen Mary Academy, to provide support to staff and students within the School, ensuring that best practice is shared, and support the implementation of innovative solutions.
The post will report to the Faculty Education Manager within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, with a dotted line to the Head of Innovation and Learning within the Queen Mary Academy and the School Teaching Services Manager within the relevant School.
You will need to have authoritative knowledge of the key principles of technology-enhanced learning, experience of using virtual learning environments (Moodle expertise desirable) at administrator, designer, instructor and user levels. Experience delivering educational development and training in the effective use of learning technologies is required. You should have excellent analytical and problem solving skills, be able to communicate sympathetically with staff and students of different backgrounds and knowledge of learning technology.

The roles sit in the Faculty of Science and Engineering, which consists of five academics Schools, including the Schools of Mathematical Sciences and Electronic Engineering and Computer Science.

Both posts are based at the Mile End Campus in London. The roles are part time and fixed term for 18 months with an expected start date of September 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £34,200-£38084 (*or up to £40k for an exceptional candidate) per annum pro-rata, inclusive of London Allowance.
