About the Role
The Student Support Officer will work with Teaching and Learning Manager, Director of Taught Programmes, Senior Tutor, and Administrative Officer to support those students showing cause for concern through metrics that measure engagement and performance. Working alongside the Administrative Officer, the postholder, will lead on the administration of the extenuating circumstances process within the School.
You will have a proven record of student support and engagement work in a higher education setting or other public sector setting. You will have experience of working with students and of ensuring processes and procedures relevant to student support are in place. You will have experience of working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, at varying levels of seniority and have excellent communication and organizational skills. You will be highly numerate with good experience of data manipulation, data analysis and statistics.

The School is located within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, which is comprised of eight Schools.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full-time (35 hours per week), permanent appointment, with an expected start date of October 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 4 £34,733 - £38,655 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
