About the Role

We are seeking a project manager to manage and support multi-centre research studies in cancer prevention and detection. The post-holder will have a particular focus in managing a cervical cancer screening study evaluating the use of novel cervical self-sampling methods compared to the current standard of samples taken by clinical staff. The project manager will be responsible for writing study protocols, ensuring regulatory standards are met, and overseeing data collection and management.

About You

Applicants must have prior experience of setting up and managing multi-centre clinical studies, and have knowledge of confidentiality issues relating to data collection.  You will be a graduate, with excellent communication and organizational skills. You will need to be proactive, and able to find innovative solutions to problems as they arrive. You will be working closely with a wide variety of internal staff and external stakeholders, so good team-working skills are essential.

The Centre for cancer Prevention is at the forefront of research internationally into the prevention and control of cancer.  We have particularly active programmes of research studying breast, cervical, colorectal and prostate cancer prevention, cancer screening and statistical methods for clinical trials and epidemiology.

Benefits

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campus in London. It is a full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for three years, with an immediate start. Starting salary will be in the range of grade 5 £38,084 - £41,299 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave and staff pension scheme.
