About the Role

Applications are invited for the above post to cover 12 months maternity leave for an enthusiastic Lecturer in Clinical Skills in the Clinical and Communication Skills Unit.

The post holder will work with the Leads for Clinical Skills and the Head of Clinical Skills, to fully contribute to the teaching, learning and assessment of clinical skills across all years of the MB BS curriculum. S/He will have particular academic and curriculum responsibilities for clinical skills programmes in Year 2.

About You

It is expected that candidates will have MBBS/MBChB or nursing qualification as well as Up-to-date Professional Body registration – including current Licence to practice. Candidates should have ssignificant experience of large and small group undergraduate teaching in clinical skills, experience of assessment of clinical skills, and be comfortable working and teaching online. In addition they must be able to work effectively with other members of the team, actor colleagues, external tutors, and the wider medical school.

The post is based at the Robin Brook Centre at the West Smithfield Campus in London. It is a 0.4 FTE role fixed term appointment for 12 months, with an expected start date in July 2021. The starting salary will be Clinical Lecturer 1-9 in the range of £34,466-£51,069 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance. It may be possible to undertake the role as a job share.
