Research Technician – Senotherapies for Ageing
Fixed-term for 1 year
About the Role
Senescence is a key hallmark of ageing. Senotherapy is an exciting, emerging anti-ageing concept that harnesses a new class of small molecules, called senolytics, to selectively kill senescent cells.
This project aims to test technologies for benefits in the field of senescence using our established 2D and 3D in vitro skin models. We will also employ a spectrum of cutting-edge technologies including high-throughput, high content imaging and compound screening.
Further, this work is part of an established collaboration with Unilever R&D, who will bring a wealth of knowledge and know-how to the project.
A graduate with a MSc/MRes in a relevant area (e.g. Biology, Ageing, Drug Discovery). A background in senescence, ageing, skin biology or high-throughput cell culture and high content analysis is highly desirable.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is full time and fixed-term for 1 year, with an expected start date of 1st September 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 3 £27,742 - £29,218.
