About the Role

The Department of Law is establishing a new Centre in Climate Crime and Justice, currently under the guidance of Professor Richard Falk, and is committed to developing and introducing new UG and PGT academic programmes which address the climate emergency. The appointed Chair in Climate Justice will be expected to lead and build the Centre as well as develop inter-disciplinary teaching programmes on Climate crime and Justice.

About You

The Professor will make significant contributions to the intellectual life of the School and research in the field of Climate Justice. You will need a significant track record of high quality research in the field of climate justice, environmental crime or related subjects at a national and international level, including publications in internationally renowned journals. You will significant experience and proven ability in developing research proposals and securing external research funding, and of the development of research-led teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full time, permanent appointment, with an expected start date of 1st January 2022.
