About the Role
The aim of this role is to mine, manipulate, curate and analyse diverse biomedical and clinical research data to enable the delivery of high-quality machine learning and AI analysis of clinical data on multi-morbidity and polypharmacy in the East London patient population towards the objectives of the principal funding partners of the post, which include NIHR and Innovate UK.
You will have good experience data wrangling in a command line environment, with demonstrated coding expertise in one or more of: Python, Java or R/shiny R. Knowledge of biomedicine is desirable although not essential, we actively encourage multi-disciplinarily in our team. You will have a good first degree, Masters, or a PhD (or equivalent) in a data science orientated field with an emphasis on large-scale scientific data management.

Our team are working at the intersection of healthcare and technology, applying machine learning and AI to structured biomedical data warehouses. This is a unique opportunity to join a new and impactful team working across the translational spectrum with a diverse community of researchers.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campus in London. It is full time fixed term appointment for six months with an expected start date of October 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 4/5 in the range of £32,941- £41,918 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
