About the Role

This role is based within the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre (QMLAC) in the School of Law.  The QMLAC provides a free, accessible, client centered advice service to the public. We act as a first-tier advice agency: providing preliminary advice on the strength of the client’s case, the processes that need to be followed, and an explanation of complex legal issues. We also undertake projects in our local community to empower the public about their legal rights and responsibilities.

The QMLAC Student and Client Administrator works under the QMLAC Client Services Coordinator to assist in the day-to-day operation and running of the QMLAC; in particular helping to process client enquiries and support community projects.

The QMLAC Student and Client Administrator assists in the education and development of Law students engaging with the QMLAC and the day to day running of the Centre.

About You

You will have experience of working in a busy administrative environment and have excellent client/customer skills. You will be highly organised and have excellent IT and communication skills. Experience of working with students and/or an understanding of pro bono work would be an advantage.
