About the Role

A Senior Lecturer is sought to join a dynamic global child health group researching HIV and infectious diseases; malnutrition; and child growth and development. The post-holder will undertake design, analysis and interpretation of studies; co-supervise students; and support statisticians in sub-Saharan Africa.

About You

Applicants will have a PhD in epidemiology/statistics, plus experience of clinical trials, analysis of large datasets and modern epidemiological approaches. The post-holder will have a track-record of high-quality research; clear and ambitious plans for future research; and an enthusiasm for making constructive contributions to the vision and leadership of the Institute/Centre and Queen Mary University of London.

The Blizard Institute, established in 2003, is the largest of seven Institutes within Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. The Institute comprises 400 staff based in five academic centres and one Public Engagement Centre, and supports 750 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute delivers excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is a full time, permanent appointment, with an expected start date of August 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 7, in the range of £55,840 - £62,415 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
