Applications are invited for a full-time postdoctoral research assistant post to join the laboratory of Li Chan ( in the Centre for Endocrinology at the William Harvey Research Institute, within the Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), as part of a European Commission 5 year funded programme. The Centre of Endocrinology brings together a group of leading clinical and non-clinical scientists researching the clinical, genetic, cellular and molecular basis of endocrine diseases. The Centre is based within the picturesque Charterhouse Square Campus of QMUL in the heart of City of London.

The appointed person will work on deciphering the mechanism of melanocortin receptor accessory proteins in adrenal function and metabolism. Essential requirements for this post include a PhD and undergraduate degree in relevant biological or biochemical subjects plus experience of molecular biology techniques. Experience working with in vivo models, metabolism and use of metabolic cages and hormonal analysis is highly desirable.

The post is funded full time for 36 months to start as soon as possible. Starting salary will be in the range £31,613 - £34,220 per annum inclusive of London Allowance with yearly increments.
