This post is based within the Dental School of Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.  The Dental School is the top rated UK Dental School for quality of dental research, as assessed in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) and is placed 1st in the UK for dentistry in the Complete University Guide 2015 and 1st in England and Wales in the Guardian University Guide 2015.  In 2014 we opened the first new dental school and hospital in the UK for 40 years, the stunning £78m Royal London Dental Hospital, giving us the most technologically advanced dental facilities in the country.

The Dental School seeks to appoint a Research & PhD Programme Administrator.  The purpose of this job is twofold: to provide effective high-level administrative support to facilitate the delivery of strategic research objectives and to deliver professional support in the administration of all aspects of the School’s postgraduate research programme, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of service to prospective students, current students and staff.

Applicants should be educated to a minimum of degree-level and have significant programme experience from working within the Higher Education or private education sector.

The post is part time (3 days per week) and permanent, starting as soon as possible. Starting salary will be in the range £32,407- £34,183 per annum (pro rata) inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave (pro rata), defined benefit pension scheme, interest-free season ticket loan and family-friendly working.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
