An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Queen Mary University of London’s Directorate of Marketing and Communications to support the Finance Manager.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated person to provide effective, efficient finance support to Finance Manager.  This involves processing related financial transactions for the Directorate i.e. internal recharges, journals, monthly reconciliation, recharging invoices and arranging costs between user’s codes. The person appointed will be part of a busy and friendly team. 

You should have an Honours degree (or equivalent) and must have substantial experience in a

finance position or similar administrative role. The role requires excellent organisational skills,

a methodical approach and strict attention to detail as well as the ability to cope well under pressure. We expect you to have good administrative IT skills and prior knowledge of spreadsheets and financial systems (e.g. Agresso) would be an advantage.

You may be required to work irregular hours at business critical time e.g. during July-mid August with the financial year.

The post is a full time fixed term appoint appointment for 1 year.  The starting salary will be £26,717 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, a defined benefit pension scheme and an interest-free season ticket loan after a qualifying period.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
