Overview:

The Health and Lifestyle Research Unit (HAL) wishes to recruit a Psychologist with a track record in research or research management to assist with on-going and new research projects. HAL is a leading research group focusing on tobacco dependence and its treatments and on weight management interventions. Its research has contributed to health care globally.

The post holder will join a team of 16 researchers, clinicians and support staff led by Professor Peter Hajek. The Unit is located next to Stepney Green underground station where it operates specialist smoking cessation and weight management clinics.

The post is full time and fixed term for 12 months in the first instance. The position is available from October 2017.

Salary range is £30,445 to £38,709 per annum according to qualifications and experience (inclusive of London Allowance). Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme, and an interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
