About the Role
An enthusiastic and resourceful individual is sought for this part-time administrative post to support the Fresh Street Project funded by the NIHR. The post is based at Whitechapel within the Institute of Population Health Sciences within Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.
The post holder will be responsible for providing administrative and organisational support to the Fresh Street Project. As an active member of the team, the post holder will be required to liaise with researchers, collaborators and administrative staff within Queen Mary University, Cambridge University, Sheffield University, Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH), Tower Hamlets and Bradford areas.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Investigator throughout the 3-year project. This role will require an enthusiastic and proactive administrative assistant with outstanding communication skills who can actively engage and enhance the functioning of the Fresh Street team.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in an academic environment and of working closely with academic staff, in tandem with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing an efficient, professional and effective service to a wide range of contacts. You should be able to demonstrate how you are able to utilize your time management and organizational skills to produce accurate work to very tight deadlines.
Experience of financial management skills would be desirable.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. This is a part time 0.8 FTE (28 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 6 months. The starting salary will be Grade 3, in the range of £27,741 - £33,324 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
