The William Harvey Research Institute (WHRI) is a world leading Pharmacological Centre with a vibrant, multidisciplinary scientific environment devoted to therapeutic innovation in cardiovascular, inflammatory and endocrine diseases. This is an exciting opportunity to provide administrative support to the Co-Directors of the WHRI, Professors Amrita Ahluwalia and Mark Caulfield. This will involve coordinating the administrative operations of the Co-Directors’ offices, together with the Institute Management to ensure appropriate preparation and delivery of the running of the Institute. The post-holder will be required to build and maintain relationships and interact with senior members of the College and external organizations.


Based on the Charterhouse Square campus, the post-holder will be required to carry out duties at other QMUL sites as necessary. The post holder is expected to maintain complete confidentiality at all times and to represent WHRI in a professional, efficient and courteous manner.

The post is full time and permanent with a starting salary in the range £26,270 - £32,405 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days' annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.


Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
