Administrative Assistant - Degree Apprenticeships

Queen Mary University of London seeks to appoint an Administrative Assistant to support the Apprenticeships Manager in the development and delivery of apprenticeships for QMUL staff and wider industry.

The Apprenticeship Levy has transformed the vocational training landscape in the United Kingdom and offers a number of opportunities to the institution as both an employer and as a training provider with wide-reaching partnerships with industry. QMUL has an ambitious strategy for expanding its Degree Apprenticeship provision alongside a desire to use its own Levy contributions for staff members’ professional development.

The Administrative Assistant will provide support across a range of activities, including branding and marketing of the programmes, developing systems, processes and project documentation, maintaining records, supporting project groups and fielding enquiries from prospective/ existing employers and students/apprentices.

This is a permanent, part- time role (17.5 hours per week). The starting salary will be in the range of £26,717-£32,956 per annum (pro rata), inclusive of London Allowance, depending on experience. The benefits package for this post include 30 days’ leave per annum (pro rata) and a defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points-Based Immigration Scheme.
