Overview:

An opportunity has arisen for two part time posts as Course Administrator within the expanding postgraduate Mental Health Programmes at the Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine, Centre for Psychiatry, Queen Mary University of London (reference number QMUL12443 for the 0.6% fte post and reference number QMUL12444 for the 0.8% fte post).

Working jointly, the post holders will ensure smooth functioning and team work across the programme components over the entire week; increase support for the college administration around governance issues to ensure deadlines are met and key governance requirements are followed; and provide greater administrative support for student placements including support for students with special needs and international students. In addition, one of the posts will provide 0.1fte secretarial support to a Clinical Senior Lecturer.

Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication and organisation skills, be familiar with relevant university regulations, and be able to handle conflicting priorities within time constraints. Candidates should have achieved GCSE/O-Grade C or above in Mathematics and English or have equivalent relevant experience. A background or interest in higher education is desirable.

  

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.

 

These are fixed term appointments for 2 years and will be available from 2nd October 2017.

 

Salary will be in the range of £26,717 - £32,956 pro rata per annum (Grade 3) inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days pro rata annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
