About the Role
The Community Based Medical Education (CBME) Deputy Manager is a member of the Curriculum Operations Team, within the Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE).
This role provides high level managerial support for overseeing the delivery of the CBME teaching elements of the Undergraduate medical programmes (MBBS &GEP) as well as the Physician Associate Masters programme. The post holder will assist and deputise for the CBME Manager, and line-manage a number of Administrators.
The role has responsibility for organising the CBME programme of practitioner development (training and events) for tutors, and oversight for the CBME Communications to external stakeholders.
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent), with experience of working in Higher Education (HE) and have a good understanding of the HE administrative cycle and related issues. You will be able to use your initiative to review processes and develop solutions, and have an ability to prioritise your workload to meet multiple deadlines.
You will have a proven track record of working collaboratively and building relationships with a range of stakeholders, with experience of line-managing team members. You will have excellent communications skills and be able to demonstrate successful event/training organisation.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is a full time (35 hours per week) indefinite appointment, with an expected start date of the beginning of September 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £38,084 - £44,807 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
