About the Role

The key role of the Centre Administrator for Endocrinology is to provide administrative support to the centre leads, 12 Principal Investigators and their research staff and students (altogether ~70 colleagues). This includes a wide range of administrative activities and duties, encompassing multiple areas of responsibility, such as liaising with other departments within QMUL (e.g. HR, Finance, other academics, monitoring grants/finance matters (>£3m budgets), providing HR and recruitment support, maintaining records of sickness, annual leave, HR records and other tasks, as required by the centre lead.

You are an excellent administrator with experience in managing various administrative tasks ideally in a higher education or research institute environment.

The Centre for Endocrinology is one of largest of the 7 Centres within the William Harvey Research Institute (WHRI) within Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. It is a lively department with international staff and students and providing a friendly multicultural environment.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campus in London. It is full time, fixed term appointment for 6 months, with an expected start date of 1st August 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 3, in the range of £27,742 - £34,220 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
