About the Role

The purpose of this job is to monitor clinical trials of investigational medicinal products (CTIMPs) and non-CTIMP studies adopted in the CVCTU portfolio.  Working under the supervision of the Clinical Trials Manager and QA Manager, the post-holder will ensure compliance with ICH-GCP (Good Clinical Practice), the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations 2004 (and all subsequent amendments), the General Data Protection Regulation, the Human Tissue Act 2004, and sponsor requirements.

About You

We require the successful candidate to have a Degree in a biomedical science or associated subject, or proven experience in clinical research and current good Clinical practice qualification. Previous clinical trials experience and/or experience of conducting central and on-site monitoring visits and Up to date knowledge of key legislation including ICH GCP, EU Clinical trials Directive, Research Governance Framework, GDPR.

the Cardiovascular Clinical Trials Unit (CVCTU) supports the development of cardiovascular focussed clinical research. The CVCTU is the fifth branch of the UKCRC accredited Barts CTU (ID:4).

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 2 years, with an expected start date of July 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £34,220 - £40,194 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
