About the Role

The successful candidate will be part of the Cleaning Services team and be required to provide a high standard cleaning service to Queen Mary’s buildings and to deliver a professional and customer focused service to staff, students and visitors.


About You

Applicants should hold GCSE English or equivalent and have a good command of the English language both written and verbally. You will be required to be able to carry out manual handling tasks and good customer communication and care skills. The role requires experience working as part of a customer focused team and knowledge of health and safety practices in relation to cleaning tasks.


These posts are full time 9am-5pm (35 hours per week), part time 9am-2pm (25 hours per week) and part time 5am-9am (20 hours per week), permanent appointment. Starting salary will be in the range of £20,582 - £21,545 per annum (pro rata for part time roles), inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days (pro rata for part time roles) annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.


Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
