About the Role
We are looking to appoint a Lecturer in Big Data Processing to join our Networks Research Group (http://networks.eecs.qmul.ac.uk/), in the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Queen Mary University of London.
To apply, you should have a PhD or equivalent professional experience and must have an appropriate track-record of high quality research in the field of Networked and Distributed Systems, including publications in renowned journals. You should have clear and ambitious plans for your future research and be able to develop research proposals and effectively manage subsequent awards.
It is essential that you can communicate new and complex information effectively, both verbally and in writing, and engage the interest and enthusiasm of the target audience. You must be able to teach at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level in large or small group settings in at least two of the following areas: Big Data Processing, Cloud Computing, Applied Statistics, Networked Systems and Artificial Intelligence.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full time permanent appointment with an expected start date of August 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 5-6, in the range of £42,433 - £53,833 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
