A new opportunity has arisen for Grounds and Gardens Operative to join the Estates & Facilities Department at Queen Mary University of London.
We are looking for a new member to work with our highly dedicated Grounds and Gardens, delivering outstanding services. The Grounds and Garden staff an integral part of the service we deliver here at Queen Mary. We have a number of green spaces at our Mile End Campus which not only provide a place for staff, students and visitors to enjoy but also ensures we are meeting our sustainability goals.
As a Grounds and Gardens Operative you will work as part of a team providing high-quality, in-house grounds and gardening services to staff, students and visitors to the College.
We are looking to recruit a Grounds and Gardens Operative with a passion for horticulture and attention to detail.
You will have the ability to work as part of a team but also on your own and under your own initiative. The successful candidates will need to have the ability to read and write in English, a strong dedication to team work, and the ability to focus on the needs of customers. As the Grounds and Gardens Operative, you will need to be willing to learn and be flexible to perform a variety of tasks and skills when needed.
The post is full time (35 hours per week) and permanent. Starting salary will be in the range of £22,781 – 27,513 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
