About the Role

We seek a Research Technician to contribute to the delivery of high-quality research in a drug development project to characterize the actions of novel drug candidates at the pre-clinical level.

About You

Applicants must have a degree in a Biological Sciences discipline, with experience in integrated physiology approaches to model human disease. This in vivo work could be complemented by experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project

The position will be based at the Centre for Biochemical Pharmacology, at the William Harvey Research Institute. The successful candidate will join the laboratory of Dr Montero-Melendez and Prof Perretti, focused on the development of novel therapies for the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases. The present project will conduct the pre-clinical study of novel drug candidates.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campus in central London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 2 years, with an expected start date of 1st September/October 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 3, in the range of £27,742 - £34,220 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
