Applications are sought for a Tissue Bank Coordinator/Researcher to co-ordinate tissue collection, labelling, storage of tissues along with design, build, validate and maintain the tissue database and store linked to The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund Tissue Bank (PCRFTB). The post will be based in the Centre for Tumour Biology, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary, University of London.
Essential requirements for this post include BSc in a scientific subject and a PhD in Biology or a relevant discipline. Experience in collecting and storing tissues is also essential. Previous experience in the implementation of Data Protection Act, Human Tissue Act, Good Clinical Practice would be an advantage. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential.
The post is full time (35 hours/week), maternity leave cover for 8 months with an expected start date of 1st October 2021. Starting salary will be in the range of Grade 5, £38,655 - £45,479 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
