About the Role
This professional services role provides project management support to the Academic Leads in managing and developing the Lifelong Health multi-disciplinary theme workstream. The role will involve engaging with academics across the institution and externally to develop research and training projects, identify funding opportunities, and to assist with the bid development and submission process of high-quality applications.
Applicants must have demonstrable project management experience and a high level of understanding of research funding and Knowledge Exchange. A degree or professional experience in the broad field of health is essential, with knowledge of Lifelong Health being an advantage. A proactive, initiative-driven approach and excellent team-working skills are essential.
About the School
Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry (SMD) is a highly successful faculty at Queen Mary comprising six institutes. It has a research spend of circa £100m and a research portfolio that spans from discovery and applied science, through translational research and applied health research. The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campuses in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 36 months, with an expected start date of December 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 5 in the range £38,655- £45,479 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. We would ideally like the successful candidate to start as soon as possible in this role.
