This post is based within the Dental School of Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.  The Dental School is the top rated UK Dental School for quality of dental research, as assessed in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) and is placed 1st in the UK for dentistry in the Complete University Guide 2015 and 1st in England and Wales in the Guardian University Guide 2015.  In 2014 we opened the first new dental school and hospital in the UK for 40 years, the stunning £78m Royal London Dental Hospital, giving us the most technologically advanced dental facilities in the country.

The Dental School seeks to appoint a Senior Student Support Administrator.  This post is responsible for the smooth operation of the Student Support Office (SSO).  Whilst the post has particular focus on Post Graduate (PG) students, the postholder will have oversight of all functions (and students) which fall within the remit of this office.   The overarching aim is to manage and coordinate the student administration systems and processes, from Admissions through to graduation/registration.  As well as line managing the Student Support Administrator, the post holder will be expected to provide robust administrative support to the [academic] Education Leadership team, and in particular the Head of Student Support.

Applicants should be educated to a minimum of degree-level and have experience of working in a customer-facing frontline service, ideally in an academic environment.

The post is full time and permanent, starting as soon as possible. Starting salary will be in the range £32,956 - £34,764 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme, interest-free season ticket loan and family-friendly working.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
