About the Role

The main responsibility of the post holder is to deliver a mentoring programme, engaging a range of employers and alumni in the role of mentor for students, prioritising students in most need of support. You will manage a caseload of over 100 professional relationships whilst simultaneously working on other live projects such as Charity Consult. The post holder will provide support to students, providing high levels of student-customer service and advice, and taking a proactive role in engaging students with mentoring and other projects delivered by the Business Development team.

Applicants will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with significant experience of working and communicating collaboratively, supporting and working with key stakeholders including academic colleagues, students, alumni and employers.

The School of Business and Management at Queen Mary University of London are looking to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic individual for the post of Business Development and Mentoring Officer. We are seeking a candidate with significant experience in facilitating, supporting and monitoring students in employability led projects. The post holder will be a member of the Business Development team and will be part of Professional Services at the School of Business and Management, reporting in to the Business Development Manager.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 2 years, with an expected start date of 1 July 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £34,220 - £40,194 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
